-
- I was judging by the image quality that I saw.
- Specs don't always tell you about the actual quality
- (e.g. a 0.25mm pitch screen can look worse than an 0.30mm screen
- if the finer pitch is ruined by bad color convergence etc.).
-
- >The 17" Sony came out the best in an big test of monitors a while back.
-
- Who carried out that test? What was the competition?
- (BTW, are you talking about the Sony 17sf or the 17se?)
-
- >>>If you stick with the small(?) 17" I can happily recommend Sony 17sf.

-
- >Wow! Thats actually very cheap. My friend bought it for 10000 NKR.
- >That's about 1600$
-
- Some German retailers throw their hardware out at an extremely low
- price because the competition is so hard (like ESCOM, Vobis etc.).
-
- >>>>What do you think, and more important: which model?
- >>>Sence the 17" is so good I doubt the next in line (20") is so much worse.
- >>Actually, the "next in line" is the Sony 17se which syncs up to 82 KHz

- >>Retail price is about 2400 DM (about 1700 US-$).
-
- >Is there a Sony 21se around then?
- I think so. In fact, I'm quite sure there is, but I'm not so sure if
- there's a Sony 21sf...
